Commercial Roofing in Fort Worth, Texas

Commercial Roofing Contractor Fort Worth TX

Tarrant County records more hail days than any county in Texas — 91 in eleven years, twelfth in the nation. On a low-slope commercial roof, hail damage usually does not present as a leak until the membrane is finished.

TPO and PVC single-ply

Mechanically attached and fully adhered systems with attachment engineered to Fort Worth's adopted 105 mph. Perimeter and corner enhancement is where a low-slope roof holds or peels, and it is the first thing a cheap bid thins out.

shield

Modified bitumen and built-up

Two- and three-ply mod bit and traditional BUR — torch, cold-adhered and self-adhered. Fort Worth's older industrial and warehouse stock carries a great deal of bituminous roofing worth assessing rather than tearing off by default.

drop

Post-storm core surveys

After a hail event, cores are the only way to establish whether water has already got below the membrane. In a county with 91 hail days a decade, that survey is the difference between a repair now and a deck replacement three years from now.

truck

Roof coatings and restoration

Silicone and acrylic restoration where cores confirm the membrane is sound and the insulation dry. Where they come back wet we will tell you a coating is the wrong product even though it is the easier sale.

clock

Maintenance programmes and leak response

Scheduled inspection with documented condition reports and drains cleared before the April peak — Tarrant County's hail season runs March through June with April the heaviest month.

file

Condition surveys for capital planning

Cores, moisture mapping, remaining-service-life estimate and a repair-versus-replace recommendation with defensible numbers — including the version where the roof has years left.

Our process

Four steps from first call to finished.

01

Core samples before any number exists

Layers, insulation condition and deck type. Nothing on a commercial re-roof can be priced honestly without them, and the gap between a coreless guess and reality arrives later as a change order.

02

Scope written to Fort Worth's own amendments

Fort Worth's 2021 amendment package, adopted as Ordinance 25383-03-2022 and effective 1 April 2022, prints 105 mph — lower than the 115 several Tarrant neighbours still carry. Attachment engineered for one is not correct for the other.

03

Phased around your operation and the 9 a.m. weekend rule

Within 300 feet of a home, weekend work may not begin before 9:00 a.m. in Fort Worth. On a phased commercial job near residential that shapes the whole weekend plan, and we build it in rather than generating a complaint.

04

Documented closeout

Photographic record of deck, insulation, attachment, flashing and finished field, inspection signed off where one applies, warranty registered — the file a lender, insurer or buyer will accept.

Roof types we work on

Asphalt, metal, tile, slate, shake — we know it all.

TPO single-ply
Most common

TPO single-ply

The default for Fort Worth low-slope replacement. Reflective, mechanically attached or fully adhered, with attachment engineered to the adopted 105 mph.

Modified bitumen
Heavy traffic

Modified bitumen

Two- and three-ply systems that take rooftop foot traffic far better than single-ply — the right answer across Fort Worth's warehouse, industrial and flex inventory where mechanical access is constant.

Excellent puncture and traffic resistanceGranulated cap sheet optionsCompatible with most existing bituminous systems
Silicone restoration coating
Where it fits

Silicone restoration coating

Service life extended without a tear-off where cores come back dry. Genuinely right on some buildings and wrong on others — and in a heavy hail county the cores matter more, not less.

Workmanship warranty, in plain English.

2yr

Commercial workmanship warranty

Written, on our installation, separate from the manufacturer's system warranty. Our building has not moved since 2019.

20+yr

Manufacturer NDL and system warranties

Available on qualifying single-ply and modified bitumen systems, subject to manufacturer inspection and installation to the published specification.

1yr

Post-installation inspection

Drains, laps, terminations and penetrations checked before the next April peak — the heaviest hail month in the heaviest hail county in Texas.

Commercial Roofing Contractor Fort Worth TX FAQ

Common questions about this service.

Don't see your question? Call us at (469) 936-7663 — we're happy to talk it through.

How much hail does Fort Worth get? +

More than anywhere else in the state. Tarrant County logged 482 hail reports across 91 distinct hail days from 2015 through 2025 — the most hail days of any county in Texas and twelfth in the United States. Dallas County, next door, recorded 202 reports over 66 days. April is the peak with March and May close behind.

How does hail damage a commercial membrane? +

Less visibly than it damages a shingle, which is the problem. Hail can bruise or fracture a single-ply membrane and crush the insulation beneath it without producing an immediate leak, so the roof keeps performing for a year or two while water tracks through the damaged area. By the time it leaks the insulation may be saturated and the deck compromised. A post-storm core survey is the only way to find out early.

What is Fort Worth's design wind speed? +

105 mph, from the city's 2021 amendment package adopted as Ordinance 25383-03-2022 and effective 1 April 2022. That is lower than the 115 mph several Tarrant County neighbours still carry, so attachment engineered for a neighbouring city is not correct here.

Do we need a permit for a commercial re-roof? +

It depends on the scope. Fort Worth does not require a building permit for a re-roof that is shingles only — the requirement is triggered the moment decking is replaced. On commercial low-slope work, where deck and insulation are almost always part of the scope, expect a permit. We confirm the position for your specific scope rather than assuming in either direction.

Why do you insist on core samples? +

Because everything about the price depends on what is under the membrane and none of it is visible from the surface. Cores establish how many layers exist, what the insulation is, whether it is wet, and what the deck is made of. A bid produced without them is a guess — and in a county with 91 hail days a decade, the odds the insulation is already wet are not small.

Can we coat instead of replacing? +

Where the membrane is sound and the cores come back dry, yes — service life extended without a tear-off and with minimal disruption. Where the insulation is wet, a coating traps the water and converts a roof problem into a deck problem. In this county we would rather run the cores than take the easier sale.

Can you work weekends? +

Yes, but not early. Within 300 feet of a home, weekend work may not begin before 9:00 a.m. in Fort Worth. On a commercial site near residential that shapes the weekend plan, and we schedule around it rather than risking a stop-work complaint.

What were the big recent storms? +

12 June 2023 produced 5.00-inch hail at Mansfield and 4.00-inch at Cedar Hill on the same night. 4 March 2025 put a 91 mph thunderstorm gust down at Haltom City — the strongest straight-line wind report in either Tarrant or Dallas County across the whole eleven-year record.
