The Albert Home – The Project
Roof Experts has worked closely and commercially with Mike Albert for years. So we were honored when he chose us to re-roof his home in Texas. Just like many Dallas homes, this home has suffered the effects of high winds and hail. Though we were ready to get the job done, the client’s insurance was resistant. While we waited until insurance was settled, we remained in close contact to ensure we could complete the project ASAP. Once permitted, this expansive and challenging roof took our team only 3 days.
The Challenges of a Stunning Residential Roof
The pitch of this roof is not for a newbie! Luckily our team has decades of experience on these steep pitches and knows how to get the job done quickly and safely. By following all of the updated OSHA guidelines, we keep our crew and client out of harm’s way. Besides OSHA, we often have to answer to another organization- the HOA. In this case, the HOA required asphalt roofing. No problem! Even without that guideline, we strongly recommended asphalt shingles due to durability and superior impermeability. It does not require frequent repairs or replacements, keeping roofing materials out of landfills. Protecting against nature and taking care of it at the same time!

Choosing Materials
As mentioned, we chose asphalt shingles for this project. Specifically, we used GAF Timberline HDZ shingles in the color Mission Brown and Start Z Ridge for their high quality performance, along with GAF accessories, sparing no cost. We choose the GAF Feltbuster because of its long lasting protection against our Dallas wind and rain, the GAF Cobra Vent to withstand the heat and moisture that builds up in our Dallas summertime, and GAF Weather Watch Ice and Rain Shield for when that random snow storm hits during our winters. This roof also had a copper overhang that we replaced- along with gutters and downspouts!

Stunning Residential Texas Roofing – Western Central
The Western Central neighborhood is known for its grand homes. The steep roof allows the home to appear larger by allowing room for decorative caps and inventive designs. For instance, this home has three spikes that reach upward from the three front peaks of the home, drawing your eye ever-higher. The non-reflective nature of asphalt shingles allow the roof to appear uniform, despite variety of angles and shapes. The material choice also allows for a discrete chimney cap, rounding out the elegant appearance of the roof.

This project was such a joy to complete. We loved getting to work with a regular client on a different style of project and relished in the challenges it presented. This expansive home can rest easy knowing its roof is of the highest quality, applied by a team of the highest skill.
