Black streaks on your roof aren’t necessarily indicative of damage. However, your asphalt shingles are prone to algae growth with frequent rains. Over time, this algae growth can wear away the protective coating on your shingles, making them more susceptible to wind and hail damage.

 

3. Hail Damage
